PATCH TEST

We have included as few allergenic ingredients as possible when developing our formula, but if you tend to have allergic reactions to cosmetics products it is recommended that you do a patch test first.

A patch test is a simple way to help predict whether or not a product may be safe to use on your skin or scalp. It is commonly recommended to do a patch test before fully incorporating a new costmetic product into your daily routine. We have listed some general tips for conducting your own patch test:

Step 1

Make sure the patch of skin is clean and free from other skincare products.

Step 2

Apply a small amount of the product behind the ear.

Step 3

Leave the area uncovered and dry for 24 hrs.

After 24 hrs rinse the product off with water.

Step 4

If any redness, burning, itching, blistering or irritation occurs at any time throughout the test, do not use the product.

Please note that the patch test is only suitable for identifying initial irritation reactions to products. It does not guarantee similar results after prolonged use or when applied to other areas of the body. It does not account for any underlying conditions nor should it be used to diagnose hypersensitivity or allergic contact dermatitis. If you are concerned about starting to use a new product, please consult a dermatologist first.
